King' clear but the first part is illegible, 25.25 x 31 inches, in a period gold painted wood frame 31.5 x 37 inches. Provenance: acquired from a regional auction in the UK. In good condition with an old layer of varnish; UV examination reveals touching up in the upper corners and other scattered areas, but the main image is mostly unaffected; the signature area fluoresces under UV light and shows that the beginning part of the signature likely read Albert at some point.
