The Fox and the Stork gilt bronze 19th century inkwell. Bronze grouping depicting one of Aesop's fables, The Fox and the Stork, also known as The Fox and the Crane. Two wells at center including a dip pen with holder. Mounted to a green marble base. SYNDICAT DES FABR. DE BRONZES 1818 UNIS FRANCE circular foundry mark at rear base. No apparent signature. 15.5 x 17 x 8 inches.
