Kegan Paul, The Thoughts of Blaise Pascal, number 19 of 50 copies from the Large Paper Edition, signed by Charles Whittingham Co., the proprietor of the Chiswick Press where the edition was printed, 1885 Kegan, Paul, London, rebound in a early 20th century fine binding by W. Root and Son, full deep red morocco, gilt title, raised bands, doublures and decorations, engraved frontis, housed in a matching cloth slipcase. Provenance: John C. Wellington, with his armorial bookplate affixed to the front blank; deaccessioned from a regional institution; will include a letter of deaccession from the institution.

Condition

Library bookplate, with Withdrawn stamp, tipped-in to the front blank, and a small library stamp to the bottom edge of the rear blank, otherwise a nearly Fine copy showing only the slightest signs of age to the binding; clean and unmarked text.
