Verner Panton for Fritz Hansens model V-8800 wire cone chair, Danish, 1988. Black lacquered steel rods form the frame, with grey wool upholstered circular cushions at seat and back, all resting on a circular plate base. Apparently unlabeled and unmarked. 29.75 x 28.75 x 21 inches. An example of this chair is in the Carnegie Museum of Art permanent collection. The chair is based on the Wire Cone Chairs of Panton's Plus-linje collection, designed in 1959. The cone starts with a circle spiraling down towards the tip, stabilized by 8 vertical struts.

Condition
