Cantini, Virgil D. (American/Pittsburgh, 1919-2009), Jesus on the Cross, 1955, watercolor on paper, signed and dated lower right, 21 x 16 inches, matted and in a wood frame 29 x 23 inches. Possibly a study for a enamel on metal commission. Cantini did many commissioned works for churches in the 1950s.
In good condition, with some visible areas of soft creasing and light staining; unexamined outside of the frame.
