Nevelson, in the style of Louise, Modern Abstract Sculpture, c.1980, painted wood, nails and two metal labels (Pittsburg (sic) 2001 and Cheyenne DNVN 80), unsigned, 71.5 x 15 x 12 inches. Provenance: acquired by the consignor at a liquidation sale of the contents of the downtown Pittsburgh Horne's department store when it was bought by Lazarus in 1994. We believe that it was initially sourced by a designer at Horne's to be used in the executive suite, but was later brought down to the main floors as a display item.
