Wall, Alfred Bryan (American/Western Pa. 1861 - 1935), Sheep Grazing among The Haystacks, oil on canvas, 24 x 34 inches, signed A. Bryan Wall lower right, 30 x 39 inches framed with gilded frame and liner, A. Bryan Wall was a original trustee of the Carnegie Institute, died on January 28, 1935 at the age of 73 years. Mr. Wall was a trustee since 1896 when the Carnegie Museum opened. He was a pupil of his father, Alfred S. Wall. His work won early recognition, and he was especially successful and well known in the painting of sheep of which this is an excellent example. Provenance: Harry Eichleay Gallery, Pittsburgh, Pa.
