Hiebel, Adelaide (American, 1885-1965), Boy and Dalmatian, c.1930s, oil on canvas, signed lower left, 30 x 40 inches, in a dark wood period frame 36 x 45 inches. Hiebel made illustration art primarily for art calendars produced by the Gerlach Barklow Co. in Joliet, Illinois. Provenance: Personal collection of Edward J. Grzybowski, co-owner of Tri-State Antiques in Canonsburg, PA. Ed was well known and respected in the field for his vast knowledge of antiques and decorative arts, particularly 20th century design.

Condition

In fair condition, with a number of scuffs and scrapes throughout plus a layer of surface grime; paint loss/flaking in the upper and lower right corners.
