Florence Knoll, for Knoll Associates lounge chair custom designed for the Alcoa Building, USA, 1957. Original wool upholstery in chartreuse. Resting on brushed aluminum legs. 320 Park Avenue Knoll label at underside. 30.75 x 28 x 26 inches. Provenance: Alcoa Building, Pittsburgh, PA; The personal collection of Edward J. Grzybowski. Ed was co-owner of Tri-State Antiques in Canonsburg. He was well known and respected in the field for his vast knowledge of antiques and decorative arts, particularly 20th century design.
