de Kooning, Willem, text by Frank O'Hara, Poems, 1989, number 106 of 550 copies, with 17 original lithographs, de Kooning's facsimile signature on the colophon, published by the Limited Editions Club, hardcover, folio, 22 x 18 inches, bound in full black Nigerian goatskin and housed in a fabric covered and lined slipcase. One of the press' most sumptuous productions. Sadly, de Kooning was suffering from Alzheimer's at the time and was unable to hand sign the books. Monthly letter is laid in. Provenance: deaccessioned from a regional institution, but with no stamps, stickers or markings; will include a letter of deaccession from the institution.
