Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky (Russian/American, 1901-1964) for Heywood-Wakefield kneehole desk in yellow birch, USA, post 1949. One long drawer over three at right and two at left. Heywood-Wakefield brand on the left drawer panel. 30 x 50 x 24 inches. Provenance: Personal collection of Edward J. Grzybowski, co-owner of Tri-State Antiques in Canonsburg, PA. Ed was well known and respected in the field for his vast knowledge of antiques and decorative arts, particularly 20th century design.
