Japanese Banner, Nobori with Samurai and Landscape, appears to be early 20th century, stencil printed or dyed on cotton support, banner section visible from the front is 77 x 13 inches, with an additional section that's 40 inches long visible on the verso, the front section with stitched on hooks along the right side and sewn down to backing board along the left side, framed 88 x 23 inches. The section on the back includes a dark blue Lotus Mon or Kamon crest.
In general good condition, colors have faded slightly, some small areas of brown staining visible throughout; section on the rear attached to the board with archival tape along the hooks.
