Pair of Antique Edo Period Japanese Dolls, c.1850 or earlier, painted wood and gofun ground faces, extensive and ornate silk drapery, one with body armor and shoes (possibly a Samurai), 12 x 16 inches and 13.5 x 10 inches. In fair condition, heavy fraying to the silk, with some splits and tears, paint loss, cracks and some small repairs.
