Pennell, Joseph (American, 1857-1926), Homestead, 1909, etching on paper, signed in pencil lower right, impression size 7.75 x 10 inches, matted and framed 14.5 x 16 inches. A striking print that rarely comes up for sale. The Carnegie Museum of Art has another copy of this print, which was donated by Andrew Carnegie himself, in their permanent collection. Provenance: The personal collection of Gary S. Grimes, Pittsburgh. Gary was an expert on Western Pennsylvania art, and especially the Scalp Level painters.

Condition
