Gignoux, Regis (French/American, Hudson River School, 1816-1882), European Landscape, c.1875, pen and ink on paper, unsigned, 6.75 x 9.25 inches, matted and glazed 11.25 x 13.5 inches. Likely a scene from the Normandy countryside, a popular subject for Gignoux following his return to his native country in 1870. Provenance: From the estate of Arthur B. de Saint Maurice, the great-grandson of Regis Gignoux.
