Titled, signed, and dated at lower edge. Image 17.5 x 13.75 inches, matted and in a wooden frame 27 x 21 inches. From a Krasner Gallery press release, January 1963: Marx was born in Nordheim, Germany in 1925, and is a member of the faculty of the School of Art at Syracuse University. He took his Master of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Illinois in 1953. Since that time he has exhibited in many major national exhibitions. His work has been invited to the Dallas National Print Exhibition; the Victoria and Albert Museum International Exhibition; Washington University International Print Exhibition; Chicago Art Institute American Exhibition of Painting and Sculpture; and the 27th Biennial at the Corcoran Gallery of Art. He was also included in the 157th Annual Exhibition of Painting and Sculpture at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. This year he has again been invited to the Corcoran Biennial, the 28th.
