Scroll carved crest rails and ears, floral and scrolling motif over pierced ribbon back splats with carved tassel decoration, oak leaf and acorn carved stiles. Resting on cabriole legs with oak leaf and acorn carved knees, ending in claw and ball feet. Seats upholstered in detailed cross stitch textile with scrolling and floral motif, possibly burdock. 39.5 x 27.5 x 22 inches. Provenance: Estate of Charles G. Pauli, Pittsburgh, PA.
