Lender, William L. (American/Western PA, 1894-1976), Neighborhood Scene with Abandoned Car, likely in Western Pennsylvania, 1944, oil on Masonite board, signed and dated lower left, 24 x 30 inches, in the original frame 32 x 37.5 inches. Lender lived and worked in Meadville, PA. Not much info is available on Lender, but the imagery and style of this painting are similar to the Pittsburgh Hill District scenes painted by Samuel Rosenberg and his students Leonard Lieb and Milton Weiss.

Condition
